To Write Again

A poem??
Oh how long it’s been
Since I put my paper
To pen and ink.
Overflowing with God,
I have so much to share,
Yet do I have the heart
To let my soul be bare?
Thoughts, dreams,
Expressions of many.
Stories of love and loss,
I have plenty.
Reader, do you have
An eye for my word?
Listener, do you know
How I long to be heard?
Only God Himself
Can carry these things.
I leave them with Him.
To His side I cling.
Thank You, God,
For lifting my pen.
It felt so great
To write again!

God’s Writer

God’s Writer… that’s what I am, God… Your writer.
You allow me this beautiful privilege
Of taking words and comforting others,
With words that can only come from Your Spirit
Whispering so softly in my ear.
You allow me the honor of being the first
To witness the powerful message
You have given my pen to witness for You.
I am amazed and overwhelmed by what
My ink has revealed from my soul.
Only You could place such wonder in my hand.
You teach me and bless me
Just as those You reach out to through me.
Thank You for being such a generous God.
Thank You for sharing with me
The ability to share You with others,
In my pen, in my mouth, in my life.
Thank You for making me Your writer… God’s Writer.

Inspiration: I use to go by God’s Writer when social media first came about.
But as that became popular for others to use, I began to feel so unworthy
To even call myself that. Eventually gaillovesgod became my username
because it was what He helped me to see was my testimony…
To still love Him… no matter what… that in itself is a miracle and a
Privilege for any of us… to be able to love someone and that someone
Love us. God is that someone! And always will be! ❤

Opinions Are Not a Fault

Someone once said,
So I once did.
Why pretend?
It can’t be hid.

It’s only a trick
To which you know.
As soon as I learn it
You’ll go.

So why agree
On something so false.
Having an opinion
Is not a fault.

We are all different,
Special and unique.
Thinking for ourselves
Shouldn’t make us a freak.

Working as a team,
That’s living together.
The more we share,
We’ll last forever.

Inspiration: For all of us and God.

Sharing

Spoiling my friends,
It’s something I love to do.
I mean no harm or offense.
My motive, I assure you, is true.
I am not trying to get on anyone’s good side.
It’s just my way of expressing
A caring I just can’t hide.
If in the future we are apart,
Like many friends who’ve left,
I hope you’ll remember me by the things I give of myself.
I’m afraid there will be many times and many friends
I won’t have the money or opportunity
To have anything to send.
For all of those I give something,
Please accept and keep.
And sincerely for those I forget or miss,
The regret is running deep.
