Worthy of Unconditional Trust

You lift my weary hands
That they might praise Your name.
My self condemning tongue
Is Yours to tame.
The love, the care, the unending mercy
All glorify who You are.
Your long suffering grace
Is never too far.
The sacrifice of giving Your Son.
The plan to set us free.
The giving of His life on the cross
To allow ours to be.
The reconciliation wrought for us.
The restoration plan.
The salvation of a world
On the shoulders of one Man.
Worthy of praise
And unconditional trust.
I love You, Father!
I love You, Jesus!

What It Costs

To have someone care for you,
You must be willing to live alone.
To have someone to care for,
You must make it on your own.
To love someone so very much,
You must be ready to let them go.
To have someone love you too,
You must accept a simple no.
To have a friend be there,
You must be willing to sacrifice.
To be a friend to them,
You must be aware of the price.

PS. I am so glad God came into my life and taught me a much better way of love, friendship, and caring for one another. The last thing we should let anyone convince us (including ourselves) is that we are better off alone. Our relationships with one another should reflect our relationship with Christ, so that others may see their need for Him, and how marvelously wonderful His love is! ❤

I Follow Despite!

Following Your lead, I follow despite
Any reservations, dread, or fright.
I watch for signs and trust Your word,
Trying to stay true, no matter what I’ve heard,
Trusting that You have heard my prayer,
Knowing that You always love and care.
Unsure if my death is what You ask,
I become afraid of every little task.
Knowing You hate lack of faith,
I try to put on a happy face.
My spirit is unsettled, my mind scattered,
And every bit of my nerves are shattered.
And then in darkness, I feel Your touch,
Reminding me that You love me so much.
The last thing You want is to torture me.
You suffered on a cross to set my pain free.
Help me to trust You even when I’m lost.
Thank You for dying upon my cross.
No one will ever compare to Your sacrifice.
Because of Your death, I have eternal life.

A Lot To Think About

A lot to think about…
in making so many decisions.
The best way to avoid scars?
Allow no incisions!
Yet the challenge to conquer fear
and stay in the fight
is much more the challenge
each and every night.
What is best…
and what can I actually do.
Sacrifice is worthless
if it only insults You.
Lord, be my Guide, my Comfort,
my unmoving Faith.
Help me to have peace
in my God given fate.
My weakness perfects
Your strength.
Help me to know
which path to walk in.

Fasting For You

Giving up something for You,
That You would hear me.
Am I doing this right?
Is this acting selfishly?
You tell us to do this
And how detail is key.
I just want You to know
My love for You is free.
My desire is to obey You
And to know your will.
Peace of mind is so essential.
It’s what I want to feel.
Hear my heart’s cry.
See my sacrifice.
I am so grateful,
You paid my price.
Help me to stay within
Your path for my way.
I want to be with You
And to never stray.
Thank You for Your
Being so faithful and true.
I know regardless of circumstance,
I can always count on You.
Love You, God!!! ❤

Comfort By a Differing Sorrow

Giving our lives to You
gives us death that blesses.
Through Your own death,
You take away the guesses.
Sorrow is not the same.
Suffering is our joy.
We have the right weapons.
We just have to employ.
What a comfort we have
in all that You bring.
Your all sufficient grace
covers everything.
May we share that comfort
with those dying in vain.
May Your love and mercy
revive them again.

Their Part

He’s so often judged to be unfair
and accused of not having a heart,
yet only God and His Son
were there the day they had to part.
Only they know the true loss
of being together
when Jesus left heaven for a moment
to give us forever.
Only they knew the longing
of being together again,
as Jesus grew and ministered
and drew closer to the end.
God and God alone
stood at His Son’s grave,
as He grieved for the Son
who had been so brave.
Now only God and His Son
can provide salvation.
We will all be together.
It will deserve celebration.
