Thy faithful presence fills the pen.
Thy guiding hand designs with ink.
There is a message flowing out
To lift our voices with a shout.
A God creates all that breathes.
He supplies all our needs.
A Shepherd tends to His fold.
He nurtures, feeds, and holds.
A King arrives in straw and hay.
He rides a donkey along the way.
A Lamb lays down to pay the price.
He is the last blood sacrifice.
A Messiah comes to pay the cost.
He lays His life out on the cross.
In the grave He lays three days.
All our sins are washed away.
For He arises on day three,
Defeats the grave, and sets us free.
He goes away to prepare a place.
He leaves us peace, comfort, mercy, and grace.
He’s coming again to make us His own,
To bring us to Father in our new home.
So much good news within the pen.
I’m drawn to read again and again.
