LOSING HEART

In the freshest part of life, a tragedy strikes a friend.
He’s told he has a problem that could bring his life to an end.
It’s a tragedy that can kill his family, as well as his friends.
But it’ll take a miracle of God to make it all the same again.
And the agony inside such a strong young man
Is challenged alone by God’s own hand.
The fear in his heart and the pain in his soul,
Will he survive what is left untold?
We just have to wait and pray to our God
That he’s needed more here than he is with God.
Whatever it turns out to be, we need to keep in mind
That whatever God chooses, He has us all in mind.
So don’t get disheartened, remember to have faith.
It may just be that this is a test of faith.

Inspiration: For a friend in his young 20s.
He developed a fatal heart defect.
They did 2 different surgeries and praise God,
he has been just fine all of these years!

BEAUTIFUL

Beautiful, that’s what this day is.
It’s more than any wish.
How could one not enjoy this treasure?
To one as I, it’s more than a pleasure.
If only I had a soul to share it with.
Only then, it would be greater than this.
For as the sun warms my soul,
I am lost in a world of gold.
There’s so much joy in finding peace.
My only wish is for it to never cease.
How wonderfully beautiful it is today.
How sad it is to know it will go away.
But while it’s here, I’ll enjoy every minute,
And cherish every beauty within it.

God Is #1

God,
I’m sorry. I miss writing to You.
I just get so tired from working,
doing Jaycee stuff,
and being a friend, lover,
mother, sister, daughter, granddaughter,
and anything else I may be requested of in life.
But You, God, You are still number 1 to me.
You will always come first.
The only reason I spend so much time with others
is because of the love I have for You
and the love You placed in my heart for others.
Good night, Sweet Jesus.
Help me to serve You.
Know that I love You.
Be with us all,
and I pray for everyone who needs a prayer.
In Sweet Jesus name, I pray.
Praise God!
Amen.

Grace… A Friend of Mercy

Grace… that word we don’t deserve,
no matter what we think we’ve earned.
God’s word says it rains on the just and the unjust.
It seems a requirement for living… a must.
Yet when we experience the receiving,
it is easier to suddenly start believing.
It becomes such a blessing to us all.
Then we’re willing to stumble and fall.
What a privilege to witness giving.
It is more than an act of forgiving.
Many times it is the beginning of hope
to throw a drowning sinner the life saving rope.
When God allows us to be HIS audience,
it magnifies the whole experience.
For when we watch the living God pardon
Adam and Eve in the midst of the garden,
it takes us back to when we first
tasted God loving us at our worst.
Praise God for being Mercy’s friend.
They have the power to birth and mend.
