Family Pain

Pain?
I’ll tell you what another aching pain is.
Pain is knowing your family is in pain, that your loves ones are hurting,
on a holiday… Thanksgiving.
The holiday we always get together on, yet this time
we’re all missing someone… one of our family members.
To some a son, a grandson, a nephew, an ex-boyfriend, a friend, a best-friend,
a neighbor, a fiance, a favorite student, a coworker, and my cousin.
It hurts to know he can’t be here with us.
And even if I were able to smile, I still couldn’t over knowing my family is hurting.
I can’t erase their pain. I can’t change the situation.
Or best yet, I can’t even bring him back.
We can’t give him a hug… just one hug, or even just say Happy Thanksgiving.
Instead we must find a way to enjoy the day without him.
Imagine that.
As much as we miss him and want him back,
as much as we hate that he’s going to never return,
it’s a rule of life that we have to smile and act as though everything is OK & be thankful.
That is if we want to be normal again.
For my family, friends, and cousin… I love you all.
And let me assure you that no matter what therapists, people, or strangers say,
to love, miss, and want Dean back is normal.
And if we feel like it’s criminal to enjoy the first holidays without him,
then that’s quite a normal feeling.
However, I am here for you. I pray for us all.
May God comfort us and the world wide.
May He be with all families… after all, we are all His children.
Love Deeply and Sincerely,

Gail… your cousin, niece, daughter, sister, granddaughter, friend, and love.

Thanksgiving Day

Misjudged Servants

A lot of souls are judged by others
to not be of God.
People say because they are different,
they just are not.
But those very people
are the examples God gave,
whether faithful, humble,
without complaining, or brave.
These misjudged souls
are the ones who just don’t judge.
They are so busy loving one another,
whether out of love or a must.
What does Jesus think
of these misjudged ones?
Would he have misjudged them
or would he have been one?

Moments Together

Crying among your people,

we strive to know each other

so that we may learn of You

through loving and serving one another.

Studies, readings, creative ways

to share and teach of You.

What tears, what laughter.

You are keeping us true.

Praise You deserve and want.

Praise we want to give.

Because of what You gave,

we are able to live.

All These Blessings

All these blessings
and all these witnesses.
So many answered prayers
through so many kindnesses.
Gifts of mercy.
Gifts of grace.
Gifts of Your love,
worthy of praise.
Testamonies of faith.
Works of good deeds.
Loving one another
by supplying needs.
Bearing burdens
and caring for the poor.
Visiting the imprisoned,
and so much more.
How beautiful to see You
in so many faces
who follow You
into so many places.

Glorious Wonders

Glorious wonders…
how rich You are of them.
You share them so generously
again and again.
These strangers You send
from so many places.
These acts of kindnesses
that glorify Your graces.
These little things they bring
that were answers to private prayers
constantly comfort and confirm
that You personally care.
And how wonderful to meet
more people in love with You too.
And all they care about
is loving just like You.
Thank You for sharing this day
and all the beauty You displayed.
Thank You for the hope
in answering prayers just prayed!

There Is Family With God

Families need God
and God wants to share His love.
We need to draw closer to God
because God is our only hope for eternal love in paradise.
We can’t get to heaven without Him
and we’ll never know what love is all about.
We need God.
God loves us!
God loves us!
God wants us!
God cares about us.
He wants to give us eternal life and lasting love.
He will someday bring us all together in heaven.
All our loved ones will be there,
our friends and neighbors too.
We’ll all once again share in joy of being together
as we sing in harmony the praise of and to God.
And best of all, God will be right there with us
and we’ll be able to thank our Sweet Jesus Christ our Lord
for giving His life for us so that we
may escape the price of sin
and know the joy of paradise in eternal life.
Won’t you come to Jesus?
He wants His family to be together forever too.
He loves you.
