So Much Need For Help

There’s a little boy
Sleeping on his cardboard.
He’s dreaming of things
He’s never had before.
There’s a little girl
Cuddled with her mother.
They’re shivering in the car
With no help from another.
There’s an old man with a beard
Sleeping in his tent,
He’s forgotten how long it’s been
Since he couldn’t pay the rent.
There’s a family under the bridge
Who are close to losing hope.
They’re clinging to their faith,
As they struggle just to cope.
You and I have so much
We can share with someone else.
Listen for God’s whispers
Where you can give some help.

Exposing What’s Within

A little girl sad and quiet
Leaned against the tree.
She has failed to save her friend
From a violent tragedy.
A life was lost and thrown away
To hide the sinner’s sin.
But God is watching everything
And exposes what’s within.
A hiker comes across the girl,
And can sense what is wrong.
Both the girls lost their fight
Against someone too strong.
The surviving girl is rescued,
And is evidence of the crime.
Justice is given to the man
Who is now serving time.

Roads That Lead To It

Down a road of gravel and rocks,
I saw a little girl.
She was being murdered by
A man who took her world.
Down a road of pavement marked,
I saw a violent crime.
He was taking her every breath,
As he drove her with his knife.
Down a road of grass and stone,
I saw the end of love.
I watched the hunter pull his gun,
And kill the running dove.

Inspiration: They were taken so young. 😦
But they are with Him, and at peace.
