Therapeutic Escapes

Hacks, and jacks, and unclaimed thoughts.
Which one am I?
Hello, Goodbye, miscommunicating altogether.
Don’t even know why.
Highs, lows, the roller coaster of life.
Which ride today?
Younger self, Defensive self, the whole is incomplete.
Which role will I play?
Denial. Avoidance. Therapeutic escapes.
Where shall I go?
Fly the sky, among the clouds so high.
There’s nothing left below.

Penned Through the Pages

Words of a Savior penned through the pages.
Salvation shared throughout the ages.
A King, a bride, a wedding invitation.
A Father, a Son, reconciliation.
Chariots of Fire, a mansion prepared.
Save your oil. None can be spared.
Baby Jesus, baby Moses, twins that fight in the womb.
False imprisonment, wrongful death, finding the empty tomb.
Baby Samsom, baby Samuel, my strength comes from the Lord.
Baby Isaac, baby Ishmael, sin lies at the door.
Do not fear. Don’t be afraid. Angels out of nowhere.
Fight the bear. Fight the giant. David is in despair.
Mother Mary, Harlot Mary, Jesus is Lazarus’ friend.
John the Baptist, John the disciple, a Revelation in the end.

Last Page, Final Word

Last page, final word.
There’s no more to be heard.
Written or not, it’s all been said.
No looking back. Time to move ahead.
Words follow life. Life follows not.
Put the pen down. It was just a thought.
Hush, little girl. Close your eyes.
Time to sleep. Time to fly.

Inspiration: Last page in my color journal:
Life Is a Journey, Not a Destination

Never Been Surer

So far away from the world,
I grow to know You more.
So far away from You,
I fear You don’t want me anymore.
The lies that follow the world
Try to convince me they’re from You,
But after knowing You personally,
I know that will never be true.
Your Holy word assures us
You love us and always will.
We are to rely on Your word,
Not on what we feel.
No one has ever been truer.
No one has ever been purer.
Nothing and no one
Has ever made me surer.
The One who pursues me
No matter how much I fail,
Loves me 🙂
And loves me so well!

A God Created Hymn

What a beautiful tune you sing little one.
I hear your chirp chirp and your tweet tweet.
Hearing you as the gentle breeze feels so cool
Makes this beautiful and quiet day a treat.
Caw, caw, your friend joins in your song.
A playful back and forth exchange.
I smile and listen as more take part,
And feel so blessed to be within range.
The sky is filled with many dark clouds.
Yet you too feel the light shining behind them.
The day is such an inspiration.
You have become a God created hymn.
How large the trees stand in view,
Adding to this glorious demonstration.
My awe struck eyes are simply amazed
At God’s personal illustration.
I feel His presence within the air,
And marvel in His majesty.
With each breath I take in
I feel Him living in me.

You See Through It All

Here alone with just You and me.
That’s the way I like it to be.
You alone within my heart and soul
Can make me feel completely whole.
When peace escapes my fretting mind,
It’s You I need to seek and find.
When burdens weigh my soul to the ground,
You bid me, “Come. Lay them down.”
You place Your arms beneath to carry,
Then linger still just to tarry.
When darkness lies to my searching eyes,
You help me to see through the disguise.
You light my world and set me free.
You smile and say, “My child, it’s Me!” 🙂

Thanks for coming for me! ❤

PS. I love You, Father God!

Descriptive Action

Frayed mind. Short circuit.
Unsure of how to work it.
Calloused heart. Dried well.
There will be no crying spell.
Damaged weapons. False alarms.
Eventually disarmed.
Strategic boundaries. Fine lines.
Everyone hides behind.
Wayward sinner. Prodigal son.
In Bethlehem it was begun.
Tainted daughter. Alabaster box.
Anointing oil for His dear cause.
Rolling stone. Bright ascension.
Before God our names are mentioned.
Tender mercy. Sweet salvation.
We have received reconciliation.
