Glorious Day

Oh glorious day bringing the morning,
Along with joy for those who’ve been mourning,
How welcome you are to troubled hearts
Who need the hope of a brand new start.
Your shining rays of morning light
Shoo away the long cold night,
And warm the soul that needs to know,
“God is with you and loves you so.”
The beautiful hues of your sunrise brings
A song to the little bird and he sings.
His tune lifts my spirit upon his wings.
I’m so delighted to hear it. Hope eternal springs.
Thank you for visiting and coming this way.
It’s a great time to praise and pray.

Shielded By The Savior

Lives pour throughout the century,
A plea to survive the struggle.
Tragedies overwhelm the soul.
Evil attempts to smuggle.
There is no open road for sin
To take control of the Lord’s.
The temporary false hope
Convinces evil to try a little more.
Consistent, persistent,
Never willing to waiver,
Evil loses to the very enemy
Shielded by the Savior.
Praise You, Lord, for Your faithfulness.

Faith in Me

Faith in Me… that’s not such a stable thing.
How can You believe in me after all my faults?
My shortcomings really add up.
Trusting me means You believe in me.
Why? Why do You believe in me?
I don’t believe in myself anymore.
I have no reason to.
Why do You care so much for me to believe?
There’s nothing You can gain from my broken promises.
Even my friends have given up on me.
My family is so disappointed.
Why would You stand by me still?
Do You not see my worthlessness?
No, You don’t.
You only see good in me.
Why? Because You know You are in me.
But You also know I am only human.
You know I make mistakes like everyone else,
Even big ones.
I am so glad that is what You see.
It’s when I look at myself through Your eyes
That I gain hope to believe in me.
If it weren’t for You believing in me when I don’t,
And when there’s every reason not to,
I would just give up on myself.
Thank You for having faith in me.
It helps me to have faith in myself…
And in You.

Jesus, You Are So Special To Me

Jesus, You are so special to me.
You are everything I could possibly imagine, describe or picture.
You are my life, my heart, my soul.
I don’t ever want to let go.
To be without You would be to not have breath.
I would therefore die,
And serve a meaningless life of dirt.

You make me pure, whole, and brand new..
It’s almost like describing You,
But it’s about everything to do with You.
For You are a heavenly and Holy treasure
That only our God can create.
What joy it must be to be next to You.

How glorious the angels must feel to know You.
No wonder they make such a joyful noise.
How can anything anywhere close to You
Not be perfect and angelic?
How proud God must be of His only Son,
His righteous Son,
His perfect Son,
And His sacrificing Son.

I hope and pray You know how much I love You,
And thank You for dying for me.
No man has ever, nor could possibly love me as pure,
Strong, and unconditionally as You always do.
Praise God for You, my Saviour, my Christ~
AMEN!

Forever Loving You!

Things So Hopeless

Life,

a thing so endlessly unknown,

for we all tend to die.

Love,

a thing overwhelmingly cruel,

for we all seem to cry.

Time,

a thing forever untameable,

for we all lose sight of it.

Hearts,

things far too uncaring,

for we all come to covet.

Peace,

a thing never yet to exist,

for we tend to stay at war.

Death,

a thing to never understand,

any better than we did before.

A Day of Revelation

Revelation… a revealing of something,
something unknown.
I am so glad you sent the angel
and that John was shown.
What a book of love
to exalt Your Son,
and to declare His vengeance
on what evil has done.
A tender leading in
for a much needed correction.
A warning of things to come
and a promise of protection.
A lifetime ahead
for those on either side.
Those who choose You go home.
The unbelieving, with evil must abide.
Harsh realities are unavoidable
in that day of revelation.
One’s only hope for escape
in Christ’s salvation.
