Dearest Jesus

Hi. I don’t know exactly what to say.
How are You doing? I hope You’re doing alright.
I know You have the world on Your shoulders.
And here it is nearing Your birthday.
I wish things were so different for You.
It’s not fair that the world is at bad terms
On the day of the celebration of Your birth.
This is also a time of peace, and love,
And good will toward all men.
Yet here we are arguing over things
That aren’t even any where near as bad
As You having to die for us.
So many men are away from their families.
Wishing they could just be there for them.
And then there are people in our country
Who aren’t even thinking about the guys overseas.
It’s not right.
And then there are the homeless,
Who have no food, no clothing, no home,
And no one to spend Christmas with.
May everyone stop to think about what’s really going on
And how it’s a day of rejoicing
In Your day of coming to our world to save us.
Have a wonderful and loving Christmas. Happy Birthday.
My gift to You is a prayer for everyone
To be at peace in thought of You today.
Forever Loving You.

My Child

My child,
In pain he came to acknowledge,
Breathless,
Without a cry,
Without the laughter,
Without the joy,
Without the simple words of…
….mommy.
Oh, as my baby lay in helplessness,
I felt of no worth
For this unawareness to
Conquer my love.
Of what value am I to my child
If I cannot chase the ache,
That I can’t even recognize?
My child,
Clang to me
In desperation for security,
Safety from the hurt.
Yet, I alone in imprisonment,
Was confined behind bars
Of ignorance.
My child,
Fought a battle
Of his own.
And it was God,
And God alone,
That spared
My child.

Happy Birthday, Jesus! ❤

Praise His Name

Ring the bell, sing a chord.
Rejoice and praise His name.
Today is a day so special.
There’s none that are the same.
Some years ago in the middle of the night,
A Holy Child was born.
As cold as it was,
The love of the child was so warm.
Today people blindly think
That Christmas is only for presents.
But when you have nothing to give to those you love,
Does it still make sense?

Dear Jesus (1986)

Happy Birthday to You!
I don’t know exactly how old You are,
But I hope You have a good one.
I sincerely hope and pray that everyone is
Nice, friendly, sharing, giving, happy,
And thinking of You.
Of how it’s Your day, not theirs.
May everyone love and respect You today.
I hope more good than bad is done today.
You are in my most cherished thoughts.
You’re my best friend.
Merry Christmas!
Lots of Lovely Thoughts.
Thinking of You.
