Praying For Godly Communication

God, this man you ordained has heard my sin.
He knows exactly how I gave in.
He knows I let Satan have a moment of victory.
That there is a deeply ugly part of me.
Please help him not to be afraid of my presence,
Nor judge me with his absence.
Allow him and his wife to know for sure
I would never hurt them. Please reassure!
What I have confessed was sin against you!
I can’t erase that the events were true.
But I can bring them to you and confess.
I have done that openly and choose not to transgress.
Give this man guidance, Lord, that he might guide me.
And give us all peace that I have been set free.
I am no longer in bondage, headed for my grave.
I am your servant. I am your slave.
Praise you, Lord, for this pastor’s dedication.
Help us to continue in godly communication.

I Need You & Your God

So many times you have shaken your finger in my face.
So many names you have called me and said,
“You should be ashamed of yourself!”
Well, I am.
I have been.
But I can’t grow in this “new life“ if you
merely continue shaking your finger and walk away.
Satan wants me to continue being ashamed.
Do you want to help him keep me there?
Or do you really want to share your gospel…
in true love?
I need your guidance.
I need your support.
If this is a family of God,
I need my Godly family to help me grow.
I want to give to you in return,
But all I have to give is not what
ANY OF US
want to know anymore.
I’m trusting you and your God…
our God!

Your Instruction, His Lesson

Off on a mountain top,
somewhere alone with You.
He is seeking Your wisdom
and Your guidance too.
He has forsaken all others
to enter Your presence.
He seeks Your instruction
to prepare His lesson.
His view is prepared
by Your majestic hand.
There is something in creation
that will cause him to understand.
Then at times, he’ll go inside
and You will shut the door.
There in the darkness
He will grow even more.
When You are ready
and deem he is too,
You will send him forth
to share more of You.

God Leads the Way

Journeys can be so long, so enduring,
taking turns and continuing on.
Spirits can become so weary.
Strength can seem to be gone.
Paths appear all along the way.
The signs are tangled in brush.
The briers, thorns, and thistles
are each so lush.
Yet somehow God allows the soul
to sense that discreet sign
that clearly defines God’s direction.
He is able to lead the blind.God
Strengthening that weary soul,
He embraces them so dear.
Peace floods the barren soul
with assurance God is here.
Walking along with Him
the journey continues on
with God leading the way
to His only begotten Son.
