It’s Your Decision

God is such a caring man, He doesn’t even ask
That You would be His child, if to you it is a task.
He gives an opportunity to choose your own path,
And when you opt to walk away, it only makes Him sad.
He’s waiting at the gate for you, a paradise at hand.
Won’t you give a little love and try to understand?

He Will Restore

The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away,
Blessed be the name of the Lord each day.
For the God who is our ever present help in need
Knows our hearts and cares if we bleed.
Trials can be so challenging and hard.
It’s tempting to make your heart a guard.
So much loss can steal your joy,
It’s hard to be happy over what’s destroyed.
But pray that God will help us keep our tongue
And see us faithfully through till all is done.
He will restore what He has taken from us,
Unless He sees it wasn’t best for us.
I cannot explain why things are as they are.
I just know God cares and is never far.

My Silent Scream

My pen, my pen… it begs to cry,
Yet the empty lines seem to imply.
I do cry… I scream… and I scream,
By finding the words in only a dream…
A dream that cannot even find a way
To voice my cry or try to convey.
My heart… my soul… it searches long.
I cannot even write it in a song.
So many ghosts and waiting villains
Make it clear, “They’ll be no tellings.”
The flesh itself weakens fast.
Memories and strength don’t last.
And in the end who really cares?
God does… and every burden I bear.
If my mind is so drawn away from him,
Then he bids me, “Deal with them!”
And just as sure as he bids me to,
He lovingly whispers, “This is my testimony for you.”
So on and on I seek, as I pray…
Waiting for the words to come my way.
