Visitors In Your House

A visitor comes to Your house.
Yet another makes two.
They’ve come to fellowship,
To worship You.
Their eyes seek Your people.
Your people extend their hand.
They try to comfort
And teach to understand.
The card is signed
“I’m new to here.”
The pastor reassures,
“You are so dear.”
The children are adored
by all who were blessed.
They show the crafts made.
Oh how cute they’re dressed.
Farewell to our visitors.
Farewell to your souls.
We pray they’ll return,
Or at least be Yours whole.

And God Steps In

The morning brings the sun and love comes to be.

He promises me forever then walks out on me.

He tries to reenter but only visits.

God steps in and says, “That’s it!

No one will hurt or use My child!

There was a reason My Son walked her mile.

She’s made in My image and carries My will.

For this loved one of Mine, I would kill.

So down on your knees. Beg for mercy from Me.

If you’ll just repent, I will set you free.”

A friend runs over to share a laugh.

Yet all she wants is to ask and ask,

“Will you do this or that to risk your soul?

Surely you know our friendship is gold.”

God steps in and says, “No playing games!

I know exactly what’s going on, and I’m taking names.

You will not deceive or lure My daughter.

She is the reason My only Son was slaughtered.

To betray this young heart with pain in any way

Will leave you in danger of judgment day.

So down on your knees. Beg for mercy from Me.

If you will repent, I will set you free.”

Christians fellowship to honor and praise God.

Yet somehow it’s the Lord that they have forgotten.

Selling Bibles, charging church membership fees.

God quickly and angrily thunders, “On your knees!!

It’s when you slander My name that you sin.

I will not tolerate it. I must step in!

So down! Down on your knees. Beg for mercy from Me.

If you’ll just repent, I will set you free.”

Being Alone Is Not Good

Being alone is not good
Even in God’s eyes.
He knows the soul needs company
To help the days go by.
There are moments we are to seek
And spend alone with God.
Some daily and some whenever
He calls us to come apart.
But even then there will be a time
When we are to fellowship again,
Whether it be with others
Or going home to Him in our end.

My Beautiful Ride with Him on 1-5-17

So much love and strength poured from His heavens.
His spirit lifted mine.
His warmth became mine.
His arms embraced…
and I allowed them to.
I embraced back all I could with my heart.
Though limited, guarded, and sometimes bound,
I was able to stay with Him…
to hear Him…
to listen to Him…
to speak with Him…
and it was good…
it was beautiful.
He showed me compassion…
patience… forgiveness… long suffering…
and insight… much needed insight.
“I’m sorry, Mom, for judging you
when I have no idea what you’ve suffered through…
what you had to survive…
again and again.
Regardless of what you did to me
and all that you allowed to happen,
you saved my life twice
simply by your example.
Salvation is what life is all about.
Health is what it takes to live it.
Thank you for the heads up.”
And then He led me down other paths.
Not all were pleasant…
in fact most weren’t,
But they were all part of
who He made me to be.
They were me.
He has saved me
through and from so such.
Even I wouldn’t believe my story.
Some days I don’t.
It’s a great escape.
But reality is real.
There is no escape.
But there is One who is always there,
in the middle of everything.
Whether you remember or not,
or just take a break from knowing,
He’s there before and after,
and the only ALWAYS with you.
Only He can give the power to those
who would hurt you.
Sometimes He does…
and we wonder why…
or are too angry to think on it,
too ready to give up,
or simply too tired to care anymore.
But when Jesus bore His guilt, grief, and shame,
it wasn’t even His to bear.
He suffered and grieved…
because He loves us…
too much to leave us where we’ve been
led, left, or linger.
He hates the evil…
the evil living inside of us…
and the evil given to us.
But His departure gave us something beautiful…
the Comforter that He promised us.
He lovingly warned that if He did not go to the Father,
that He could not send us the Comforter.
How glad and blessed… and loved…
my soul has been…
my heart has cherished…
my mind renewed…
since He came into my life.
Because of His comfort…
I can feel hope..
I can believe in hope…
and I do Hope…
in the day that God the Father
will finally remove His permissions
from the evil doers…
His tolerance of filth…
and will allow His Son,
to come riding back on His horse…
to fight for me…
to fight for them…
to fight for you…
to fight for us all.
No longer will darkness have power.
His Light that fills heaven so bright
that there is no need for the sun
will put darkness in its proper place.
Evil will be put in its proper place.
Designated destinations will teach evil
all that it unjustly taught others.
God will no longer allow the memories
to have any place in our heart, mind, or soul.
Finally, we will not even think of ourselves.
We will be so in awe of Him.
prostrated on our face…
in perfectly heath bodies…
that will no longer steal our joy..
and never again
rob us of our fellowship with Him.
Holy, Holy, Holy…
forever we will praise.
God, I long for it now!
Thank you for the Hope.
Thank you for the day…
even the unpleasant thoughts…
as You only use them to teach me…
to comfort me…
to remind me.
Help me to never forget.
And forgive me when I do.
There will be a day
when our mind is completely yours!

Communion With You

Communion with the Holy Ghost?
What an awesome thought.
To know we are comforted
by the blood with which we are bought.
The Holy Ghost, so precious and rare,
would actually commune with us?
We are so undeserving.
Somehow it seems so unjust.
Thank you, God, that You are so forgiving,
so willing to welcome us in.
I praise Your name
that Your mercy and grace have no end.
Please do, You’re welcome too,
to fellowship with me.
I cherish every moment You share.
It’s exactly what I need.

On Duty

Out in those battlefields
are soldiers for Your cause.
So many are scattered
to carry their cross.
Whether in an actual military
or on a “field” trip,
they are reaching the lost
among the fellowship.
telling their story
by telling Yours,
while praying for You
to open hearts and doors.
Joy in the crowns
they gain for You,
to be laid at Your feet,
and celebrated too.
Be with Your soldiers
wherever they are.
Help them fight Your battle
and win Your war.

Church

Church is a place I long to know
and come to see God’s house.
I want to hear His children sing
and watch them become aroused.
I love to see so many souls
gathered to bring Him praise,
to hear the preacher preach the word,
as his voice will sometimes raise,
and all the restless children play,
as they find it hard to sit still,
but oh the sweetest things they say
as they are taught about God’s will.
The choir works so faithfully
to beautify their sound,
to shout a joyful melody
of how they’re heaven bound.
Church is where I long to be
and where I want to belong,
for it makes my world much easier
to hear the faith so strong.
