For His Glory

For His glory! Not mine!
That is why I write!
No pain or depression,
Or any other oppression
Should get in the way
Of needing to say,
God loves you!

A dying and hurting world
Needs to know He loves every boy and girl!
A sister and brother in Christ
Need encouragement for the fight.
Whether lost or saved,
We need the message He gave,
God loves you!

SO pick up the pen
And write again!
The battle is fierce
Shedding blood and tears.
But we must not delay
For one who needs to hear us say,
God loves you!

Glory to God!

You Enlighten Me

So many stories… so many names…
Some difficult to pronounce right.
Your word is truly a lamp.
Already my darkness has light.
Instruction and encouragement,
Warnings to keep us in line.
You love us too much
To leave us behind.
Grace and mercy,
Your greetings share so much.
I am blessed to be a part of
Such heavenly love.
Thank You for opening my eyes
And for opening my ears.
I want to see and hear
All that keeps You near.
Praise You for who You are.
Praise You for Your Son.
Praise You for the Holy Spirit.
The three of You are One.

The Light of His Darkness

God’s perfect timing is meant to encourage us…
As much as it is to show us how lovely God is…
To seek us in our darkness…
To sit with us in our darkness…
And to shine a Light through our darkness.
How peaceful it is when that Light is the darkness…
Manifested as His glory…
And Love for us.
I am not so afraid of the dark…
Nor distressed by sudden fear…
When He is the darkness…
Because I know it is only to become…
The Light in my heart that never leaves.
May you know that Light…
And embrace His darkness.
He loves just being there with you.
Darkness could never keep Him away.

Demonic Virtues

There’s a beautiful struggle in a wicked love,
For a rebellious faith is a faithful heartache.

Hot ice, cold fire, death in sex.
You’re such a tasty venom.

Dying alive in your malicious kiss,
Your sweet blood is forever falling.

A wicked touch in such a deceptive friendship,
Such devious kindness

Within every one of your evil longings
I find such demonic virtues.

Yet within the shallow depth of your prison of freedom,
I’m shattered dreams.

A loving hate can be an aching pardon.
Your death is such a romance.

PS. This was written as a strong play on oxymorons to emphasize a strong struggle going on inside of life seeming to be nothing but a lot of things that just don’t make sense and simply should not be! The title itself are two words that just don’t belong together. I am so grateful that God’s love makes life make sense.

Your Influence

Your precious love abides. Your Spirit lives inside.
Your presence pleases me. Your comfort eases me.
Your guiding light leads. My obedience heeds.
Your word instructs. My discipline trusts.
Your hymn lifts my voice. I praise by choice.
Your encouragement cheers. Your tenderness endears.
Your mercy secures. Your grace assures.
Your salvation saves. My humility behaves.
Your insight inspires. My rebellion retires.

Passing Angels and Warriors

Moments of hardship arise,
and so does our God.
He sends His warriors
and angels abroad.
They minister and encourage,
and maybe even provide
a token of God’s love
by being at our side.
Whether in sweet fellowship
with a dear old soul,
or comforting companionship
with one not quite whole.
Whether giving advice
greatly sought,
or allowing wisdom
to be taught.
They take their charge
and serve God well,
leaving such a strong testimony
to tell.
