Your Love of Grit

So much of Your love flows through my veins.
It medicates the physical pains.
It seeps so deep and penetrates my mind.
Solace and peace are treasures I find.
For in each comfort I find You…
Faithfully walking and carrying me through.
Your attentive love astounds me.
Your faithful pursuit grounds me.
How great a love that faithfully loves me,
Cares so much, and thinks so much of me.
Thank You for being that love of grit
That lights my lamp and keeps my path lit.
Praise You, God, for all that You are.
Thank You for never being too far.

Your Word Awaits Me

Your letter awaits me
And my weary eyes
To freshen and renew
My troubled mind.
Your wisdom awaits me
And comes with discretion.
Your knowledge and discernment
Will teach me a lesson.
Your warning awaits me
To lovingly plead,
“When the Spirit whispers,
Please be sure to heed.”
Your comfort awaits me
To strengthen and cheer.
Your prayers and parables
Are so dear.
Your authority awaits me
To teach me to quickly obey.
You want to protect me,
And by leading all the way.
Your heaven awaits me
With what You’ve prepared.
I await the day
When I’m finally there.

Weathering Life

Smoky winds are hints
To what’s going on inside.
They don’t give the details,
But they won’t let you hide.
Foggy hills and mountains
Beautify the view,
But foggy valleys and roads
Obstruct the view.
Storm clouds roll in.
Storm clouds roll out.
You can’t be certain of their intentions.
They only make you doubt.
God creates wondrous works
To bless and to test.
May you find comfort and peace
In His sweet rest.

God’s Writer

God’s Writer… that’s what I am, God… Your writer.
You allow me this beautiful privilege
Of taking words and comforting others,
With words that can only come from Your Spirit
Whispering so softly in my ear.
You allow me the honor of being the first
To witness the powerful message
You have given my pen to witness for You.
I am amazed and overwhelmed by what
My ink has revealed from my soul.
Only You could place such wonder in my hand.
You teach me and bless me
Just as those You reach out to through me.
Thank You for being such a generous God.
Thank You for sharing with me
The ability to share You with others,
In my pen, in my mouth, in my life.
Thank You for making me Your writer… God’s Writer.

Inspiration: I use to go by God’s Writer when social media first came about.
But as that became popular for others to use, I began to feel so unworthy
To even call myself that. Eventually gaillovesgod became my username
because it was what He helped me to see was my testimony…
To still love Him… no matter what… that in itself is a miracle and a
Privilege for any of us… to be able to love someone and that someone
Love us. God is that someone! And always will be! ❤

Jesus, Faithful to the Unfaithful

Time and time again You come to my rescue
Despite how often I neglect and abuse You.
You adhere to my every cry,
Though I betray You… why?
You hold my hand, comfort my aches and pains,
Regardless of my sins causing Your blood to drain.
You befriend me, Father me, abide me at my need.
You do not hold it against me… my selfish greed.
Lord, I love You for always being so faithful to stay.
Thank You for loving me despite my unfaithful way.

My Loving Caregiver

Hours and days ago,
My life was in Your hands.
It is in Your hands every day.
You are my healer.
You are my comfort.
You are my peace…
Inside and out…
Within and without.
I draw my every breath from You.
You are a caregiver like no one else.
I bow before Your amazing care.
Thank You for loving me so much.
Thank You, Jesus.

PS. Forever Loving You

With Your Holy Presence

God, if there’s one thing people can share
When they’re not in love… it’s You.
They can hear Your word, sing Your praise,
And feel as good as new.
When they search for answers to their prayers,
In times of their needs,
They can find a love in comfort,
From simply getting down on their knees.
As their hearts break from a cruel lover’s game,
It starts to mend with care.
And never again will that evil win,
Against Your Holy presence being there.
Thank You for a subject, a smile,
A way to communicate.
I trade with You my old worldly way
Of having to fornicate.
Never have I felt a love, a hug, or touch
That really felt sincere.
I know with You in my heart,
I”ll never shed a wasteful tear.
Blessed are the ones who prayed,
Knowing I wanted to be saved.
I pray for all the other sould,
Who almost took me to my grave.
PRAISE YOU, GOD, FOREVER!!
I LOVE YOU ALWAYS!!

He Understood

Sometimes when we are most afraid of something,
We are criticized by others.
Yet, God is there to understand,
As well as to love us.
Like today when I was horrified,
I was being ridiculed.
Yet God sent me an angel to help,
Yet care about me too.
For as I was too afraid to do
Something I should have done,
Instead of getting mad or forcing me,
God was the understanding one.
He sent me two angels
To see me through my fear,
And afterwards comforted me,
To wipe away my tear.
And as I felt ashamed before,
Because of one who got upset,
I soon was overwhelmed by love
And my fear was easy to forget.

God Sends Love

God sends love and the world is beautiful.
God sends mercy and He saves the ugly.
God sends grace and the ugly is revived.
God sends peace and the heart takes comfort.
God sends comfort and the world is at peace.
How many more blessings from God I could count.
Everything He does is out of love.
Everything about Him is love.
He is love.
There’s no other love I’d rather have.
For His love allows me to love,
To be loved,
And to share love.
Thank You, Jesus, for loving me,
And everyone else.
You really know what love is.
Thank You for teaching me about love,
And allowing me to be a part of it.
The world is so beautiful.
God sends You to earth,
And the world is given salvation,
The world is given love,
I pray I’ll always show You love,
And share Yours with others.

He’s My Savior

Head hung low… with sadness so great.

He lifts my chin with His hand and says, “I love you.”

His smile brightens my darkened world.

His eyes tell me I’m special.

His arms are opened to embrace me

And I gladly allow them to.

No matter how bad I feel,

He is always there with a smile,

A hug,

A shoulder to cry on.

He’s the strength of my life.

He is the rock of my salvation.

No matter what I go through,

I know I can count on Him.

Many people can make me smile

And make me feel like I’m loved.

But no one else can make me feel like

They can carry me through it all.

No one can be my Savior like Jesus is.

A lot of people make me feel so much better

With the love, hugs, and kisses,

But no one is like my Jesus.

He is my Friend, my Brother, my Comfort.

He’s my Savior.

Praying For Friends

Praying for friends…
such a much needed task!
Yet what a joy
and a privilege to ask
God to protect and provide
for dear friends,
knowing God’s blessings
never come to an end!
Praise to a Savior,
a King in charge.
Nothing is too little,
nothing too large.
God is beautiful
to provide such souls,
then comforts with prayers,
knowing He is in control.

Home Can Only Be Home With Jesus!

Home is where the heart is…
That’s what they say anyway,
But so many people can’t be there
And are trapped so far away.
Stranded in bodies or buildings
So cold to their feelings.
Every day faced with
Such cruel dealings.
Lord, thank you for holding our hearts,
For living there too.
Home can only be home
When we’re finally with you!

Your Poetry

Dear Lord, I want to live in Your poetry.
Your words are so beautiful, so powerful…
And when You bless me with them,
I am overwhelmed.
When Your grace flows through my pen,
I am amazed that You would choose me.
I am in awe to be Your poet.
I thank You for that honor, that privilege.
I cherish the gift to share You with others.
May Your message reach those to whom You want.
I know they have touched me often.
Thank You, Father God.
Thank You.
“Your poetry” is still the greatest!
“Your written word” comforts us all!

Hold Onto Me, Lord

I struggle God and only you can hear.
Only you care when I shed a tear.
Yet even then, you urge I prevail.
You must insist I cannot fail.
Yet when a failure I feel I must be,
You send an angel to comfort me.
Day after day escapes my life,
Yet you seem to enjoy my strife.
Just when the load is heaviest to bear,
I find you have taken what’s no longer there.
Hold onto me, Lord, as I’m so weak.
You are the only one who knows I seek.

Away From The World

So cold, I feel inside.
Alone, away from the world.
I’m constantly surrounded by others,
yet feel so isolated.
How can I relate my thoughts
to concerns of others?
Depression is so nasty,
but so comforting in a way.
Why do I feel so sorry for myself?
No one could do anything
about my problems,
except myself.
That’s why I try so much harder
to make sure I never learn
to eternally dwell in self-pity.
Thank you, God, for love, life, and reality.
You are all three
and I’m glad to be a part of each.
