Your Love of Grit

So much of Your love flows through my veins.
It medicates the physical pains.
It seeps so deep and penetrates my mind.
Solace and peace are treasures I find.
For in each comfort I find You…
Faithfully walking and carrying me through.
Your attentive love astounds me.
Your faithful pursuit grounds me.
How great a love that faithfully loves me,
Cares so much, and thinks so much of me.
Thank You for being that love of grit
That lights my lamp and keeps my path lit.
Praise You, God, for all that You are.
Thank You for never being too far.

Faith in Me

Faith in Me… that’s not such a stable thing.
How can You believe in me after all my faults?
My shortcomings really add up.
Trusting me means You believe in me.
Why? Why do You believe in me?
I don’t believe in myself anymore.
I have no reason to.
Why do You care so much for me to believe?
There’s nothing You can gain from my broken promises.
Even my friends have given up on me.
My family is so disappointed.
Why would You stand by me still?
Do You not see my worthlessness?
No, You don’t.
You only see good in me.
Why? Because You know You are in me.
But You also know I am only human.
You know I make mistakes like everyone else,
Even big ones.
I am so glad that is what You see.
It’s when I look at myself through Your eyes
That I gain hope to believe in me.
If it weren’t for You believing in me when I don’t,
And when there’s every reason not to,
I would just give up on myself.
Thank You for having faith in me.
It helps me to have faith in myself…
And in You.

You Are a Love That Never Fails

God, You are a love that never fails…
A love that never expects more than I can give…
That doesn’t even love me for the things that You can expect of me…
But instead loves me for everything I can and cannot do…
Because it is me You love… my soul… not my abilities to do what I can do…
Your Son living inside my heart makes all the difference in the world
To place that kind of love in me for others.

No matter what I do or do not do in my life…
Whether I succeed or fail…
Whether I earn a college degree or a classic lesson of life…
You will love me for whatever I am… and whoever I am…
Because You will be who I am… by living in my soul.

I never have to worry about Your love disappearing…
Abandonment is not a fear with you… it is not even a reality…
Because You are all my dreams come true…
In every moment that I share with You.
I know that Your love does not change…
And does not want to hurt me in any way.
I know that Your love looks after me and protects me.

You do not like people to hurt me…
And will protect me against all that can hurt me…
Including people who love You… or that You love.
You want us all to share love with one another.
Sharing Your love with the world does not mean losing Your love for me.

Thank You for being the kind of love who looks after all my family and friends…
That shelters the world and cares for the suffering.
It’s not a love that “talks” about the world suffering…
Your love acts upon the world suffering…
You care if any of Your children hurt…
Your love is not a love of negligence or vengeance…
Your love is not of this world.
Your love is a love of its own kind.
Thank You for sharing it with me.
I have been so blessed.
I love You.

Sharing

Spoiling my friends,
It’s something I love to do.
I mean no harm or offense.
My motive, I assure you, is true.
I am not trying to get on anyone’s good side.
It’s just my way of expressing
A caring I just can’t hide.
If in the future we are apart,
Like many friends who’ve left,
I hope you’ll remember me by the things I give of myself.
I’m afraid there will be many times and many friends
I won’t have the money or opportunity
To have anything to send.
For all of those I give something,
Please accept and keep.
And sincerely for those I forget or miss,
The regret is running deep.

Generations of Love

Generations of love have passed
Right down through my veins.
And as I see the love in my son,
I know the love remains.
He is so caring and so bright,
Always enjoying living.
And though he’s more than spoiled by many,
He’s always very giving.
Don’t be down or make a frown,
Or he just might attack.
For just when you have lost your smile,
He wll quickly bring it back.
And certainly, he is a sight
For everyone to enjoy.
For this is why I’m more than pleased
To say I love my boy.

What It Costs

To have someone care for you,
You must be willing to live alone.
To have someone to care for,
You must make it on your own.
To love someone so very much,
You must be ready to let them go.
To have someone love you too,
You must accept a simple no.
To have a friend be there,
You must be willing to sacrifice.
To be a friend to them,
You must be aware of the price.

PS. I am so glad God came into my life and taught me a much better way of love, friendship, and caring for one another. The last thing we should let anyone convince us (including ourselves) is that we are better off alone. Our relationships with one another should reflect our relationship with Christ, so that others may see their need for Him, and how marvelously wonderful His love is! ❤

Why Do We?

Why do we have to be there for those we love?
If we don’t feel they love us,
Why can’t we just walk away?
Run away from the pain?
Where’s the escape from caring for anyone
And aching through the nights?
Where does it all come to?
When does it all stop?
Why can’t it be now?
Someone please… answer me!
Help me!
I want to run away!

Experience His Amazing Grace

God is caring and loving.
His love will never cease.
His miracles continue.
There will yet be peace.
Come into His heavenly world.
Let Him in your heart.
Let today be the first of
A long and wonderful start.
The warmth you’ll feel within,
Could never be replaced.
So turn to God and experience
His amazing grace.
Jesus will forgive you
Of any sin you confess.
For as He died upon the cross,
He laid your sin to rest.
Your Lord is waiting for you,
Expecting only love,
To take you to a heavenly world
Waiting up above.

Lord of My Heart

Jesus is Lord of my heart.
I welcome Him in to stay.
He doesn’t have to wonder.
I wouldn’t have it any other way.
He’s got the keys to every door.
He broke the locks and chains.
He cleaned out all the cobwebs.
Now only His love remains.
No clutter or junk.
Nor any untended scars.
He heals with His caring touch
And softens what was hard.
He’s no longer a visitor.
His home is where my heart is.
Every day He draws me nearer
To come and live in His.
