Realistic Faith

No one is coming. No one can help. No one can take away the pain. No one can cleanse the wound. No one can wipe the tears away. No one can save the day. No one can call in the calvary. No one but the One who hung on Calvary. Only You.
Only You can rescue. Only You can save. Only You can wipe away all tears. Only You can erase pain… forever. Only You can set free the captive. Only You can cleanse the wound. Only You can heal… even the scars. Only You can defeat our enemies. Only You can defeat self.
There is no waiting for a place to belong with You. You have prepared a place for each of us just to be with You. There is no worn out welcome. No one is unwelcomed. All are wanted and loved with You. No one is ever a burden. No requisite is required. No pre-approval needed. No one else has the authority to set any standard that would cause one to be rejected. You have the final say. Only You.
Love. Life. Peace. Comfort. Acceptance. Family. Provision. Healing. Cleansing. It all comes from You. From Your Father. Our Father.
Open arms. Open doors. Open heart. Open grave. Open home. Open invitation. Open You.
No one. Only You. No waiting. No sorrow. Only tomorrow. Open space. Open You. Abba Father. Holy Ghost. Home.

Emotions of a Savior (My Savior)

Troubled and groaning…
words I would never think on You with.
Fallen to the ground in agony…
seems like a fairy tale or myth.
Yet You suffered sorrow as unto death,
as You agonized in the garden.
You even pleaded to the Father
for a way to escape, for a pardon.
Yet like the very spirit we have heard of,
You were obedient even in death.
Despite Your being troubled in spirit,
You uttered those words on Your breath.
“Father, thy will be done. Not mine.”
You accepted as you prepared.
It was God’s plan to start with,
yet You still cared.
You took on human flesh and sorrow.
You felt our agonizing fears.
You understood the troubled soul
and those uncontrollable tears.
You have wept, agonized, and groaned in spirit.
You have felt betrayal and lies.
You have experienced the cruelty
found in words and the eyes.
Thank You, Jesus, for not giving up.
Thank You for hanging on for me.
I pray that my life and words
honor all that You did on Calvary.
