Beauty and the Speed

I see it. There she is.
My car I use to drive.
I miss how I cruised in it.
Her speed made me feel alive.
She did great taking curves.
Her brakes were quick and alert.
I loved how she quickly moved
From 0 to 80 an hour
Within a 2 minute push.
And the way she dropped from 80 to 0 so gently
Gave me a rush.
I never felt so in control
Over something so powering.
It really felt great to experience.
What a nice showering.
What a wish would be,
If I could have her back.
Driving down the highway.
Just a roling that old track.

I Watch

Another day, another trial.
Another walk of faith.
Another journey
awaiting my fate.
Blessings given.
Blessings removed.
God’s sovereign hand
has been moved.
Words spoken.
Quiet action.
Conviction
and compassion.
Alert and aware,
“I watch.”
What’s next?
What?
