LYING DISGUST

Lying is such a disgust to God.
He doesn’t like us to imply what’s not.
People are misled and told a lie
when life is brief and flying by.
We can’t afford to waste our breath
forsaking words of life for death.
Prophet, priest, and servant alike
are to save and comfort with words of life.
Particularly in God’s house and people,
we are to be Holy, not weak and feeble.
Filth and lies do not belong there.
God will not tolerate nor bear
the insult to His Holy name.
This is not a test, nor a game.
Please give your words and mouth
to the Lord who cares what comes out.
Save the lost and going astray.
You will save yourself along the way.

Deceitfully Hearted

Do we even love God…

is the heart of all.

We can pretend all we want.

He has the final call.

Obedience is the heart of love

to a God who gave the heart.

There is no love inside

when we choose to depart.

We can push the limit

on the heart of God.

He knows if you’re

really His or not.

Search your heart for God.

He is there waiting for you.

He is willing

to make your heart true.

ALL BELONGS TO CHRIST

Everything belongs to Christ.

We are to endure at all times.

We are to give thanks in all,

and give our hearts, bodies, and minds.

Seeking first what is God’s.

Putting others before ourselves.

Discipling our every being

with His divine help.

Honoring the Christ who died

to give us eternal life,

we are to live in peace,

forsaking divisive strife.

Bearing Uncertainty

So much uncertainty
looms in the air
on what lies ahead,
or what we must bear.
Just around the corner
lies tomorrow,
carrying so many troubles
and too much sorrow.
How are we to know
what each day holds?
We are not You
to know what unfolds.
What we do know
is that You will be there,
eager to take on any burden
that we may bear.
Hold our hearts, Lord,
as You lead us along.
For life will soon be here…
then gone.

Our Long Journey

What a long journey of mercy
You have walked me through.
What a long journey of grace
to have been blessed with You.
So many memories flood in,
I am overwhelmed with words.
You have seen me through
so many misery and hurts.
Yet nothing on my journeying
has compared to learning of You,
and Your wondrous love
shown in everything You do.
Those memories are Yours and mine.
Those treasures are all ours.
You have poured out Your blessings.
I’ve loved bathing in the showers.

I Am Just One

So many times I am discouraged
or defeated by being just one,
but God Himself places value
in being found and what’s to be done.
Lost and wandering away,
He leads me home by His voice.
When He receives me home,
all of heaven helps Him rejoice.
Just one, just little old me
is enough cause to celebrate.
God has saved the perishing
just before it was too late.
Thank you, God, for believing
that I was worth pursuing.
Thank you for thinking
that I was worth rescuing.

The Only Everlasting Love

God gives us special people
in our ordinary lives.
Love that seems endless
unfortunately has to die.
Love that seems imperfect
must expose its flaws.
Love that seems innocent
comes out with the claws.
The only love perfect and true,
and that will never die
is the love that gave His life
to give eternal love on high.
He is the only faithful love
that will never abandon or betray.
He is the only love
that will never go away.

Philippians Insight

If it is for the cause of Christ,
it is what it’s all about.
He is our assurance.
His peace erases all doubts.
Keep Him first,
and others before ourselves.
Be ready to stand alone.
Be ready to help.
Good and honest things
are all of good report.
Praise and worship to God
is what we are designed for.
Trust in Him,
and faith will bring peace.
Trusting in this peace
will never cease.

Misjudged Servants

A lot of souls are judged by others
to not be of God.
People say because they are different,
they just are not.
But those very people
are the examples God gave,
whether faithful, humble,
without complaining, or brave.
These misjudged souls
are the ones who just don’t judge.
They are so busy loving one another,
whether out of love or a must.
What does Jesus think
of these misjudged ones?
Would he have misjudged them
or would he have been one?

1 Samuel 18:13-14/Proverbs 16:7

A powerful message of Proverbs 16:7
is shown in David and Saul.
David’s wise behavior
made Saul’s pride fall.
Fear replaced vengeance
and prevented ill will.
The more wisely David behaved
the more frozen Saul stood still.
This wise behavior
also pleased the heart of God.
Though Saul sought to slay David,
to allow him, God would not.
It is true what God says.
Proverbs 16:7 is very wise.
Even the Philistines were at peace
though David killed Goliath before their eyes.

Faithful Compassion

How incredibly amazing
does Your word remind us
how You are.
So many times You blessed
and forgave Israel.
You were never too far.
Despite the whining,
the selfish complaining,
the ungrateful hearts.
You were loving
and merciful
to not depart.
God, Oh Father,
may we ever
praise
Your Holy name,
Your Holy grace,
Your Holy ways.

REJECTING GOD

Rejecting God is not wise,
even if the saint cries.
When God is rejected,
He feels neglected.
There is nothing to say
to change His way.
No sacrifice can replace
obedience to His face.
Rejecting what to do
will make Him reject you too.
Obey your Lord!
Love Him more and more.
If you will be true,
He will never reject you.

Communion With You

Communion with the Holy Ghost?
What an awesome thought.
To know we are comforted
by the blood with which we are bought.
The Holy Ghost, so precious and rare,
would actually commune with us?
We are so undeserving.
Somehow it seems so unjust.
Thank you, God, that You are so forgiving,
so willing to welcome us in.
I praise Your name
that Your mercy and grace have no end.
Please do, You’re welcome too,
to fellowship with me.
I cherish every moment You share.
It’s exactly what I need.

Unique Splendor

Your word and Your way
are so beautiful and unique.
You may share Your wisdom,
but not the glory of Your technique.
Heavens, earth, water, and land
are creations just from You.
No other man or god
could even try to do
the treasures in Your wind,
the lightnings with rain.
These are just a few splendors
that testify You reign.
Amaze, daze me,
keep me in awe of Your way.
I love to learn of You
and enjoy every precious day.

Shelter in You

So many times
I have hidden in You,
as You have comforted me
and blessed me too.
Your shelter is a shelter of love,
protecting within Your wings.
Nothing and no one will break through
when You are in charge of things.
How often I have fled
from enemies in pursuit.
While they were shooting at me,
You have silenced them mute!
What mighty love and protection
I cherish in Your very self.
You are my God, my Friend,
my ever present Help.
