A Woman Saving Love

Saving love.
Just what am I saving it for?
If I find it hard to believe it lasts,
Why do I keep wanting more?
Women and men are vulnerable,
But hearts are wounded knights
Who gave up the right to happiness
To hold the maiden at night.
So why is it this young lady
Feels as though she’s defeated?
Love has got to be a better weapon,
Even more when it’s repeated.
You can’t give up on love
Just because you have been bruised.
That’s like giving up on life
Just because your soul was abused.
God has been there to shelter you
And bring you love in Him.
Don’t abandon the One who loves you
Just because you’re tired of fighting them.
